My name is Sam and I am Cheyenne. Did you know the plains indians had powows and they killed buffalos? They did not have paper, they used buffalo skin. Whisky made the plaines indians crazy and not very well. We made totem poles and a rattle out of rice and a bottle.

Room 8 are doing a topic on Plains Indians.I am part of the Cheyenne tribe. The Cheyenne use bows and arrows war clubs and hide shields. We also learned that Plains Indian don’t write like we do they write in picture writing called pictographs.Pictographs don’t go from left to right they start from the middle and go round in a spiral. We are going to have a pow wow which is a celebration that all the tribes meet and they sing and dance and enjoy themselves.
